reported to County Radio that he had a overturned dump truck with the
driver stuck inside and to dispatch a rescue company and put Medivac
on stand-by. At 14:38 County dispatched R59, E59-1, E59, QUT59 and
A151. R59 arrived on scene and reported that there is one male victim
pinned inside, conscious but unable to extricate due to live wires
down in the area and across the dump truck arching to have PP&L
dispatched to the scene at high priority and to add a additional
Engine, dispatching E26 which was exchanged for R26. E59-1 and E59
were advised to come into the scene from Callowhill side and to send
their crew to R59, while R26 set up a LZ on Telegraph Rd. While
waiting for PP&L to arrive on scene, Rescue crew removed the
windshield being careful not to touch the truck so that the medics
could monitor the victim. PP&L arrived on scene at approximately 15:15
hrs and the extrication was completed at 15:31. R26 was released from
the scene after the take off of Medivac with Station 59 apparatus
remaining on scene till the accident area was cleared at 16:11. |
