County Radio Room ( 911 ) received a call at 12:42 stating that
their dog ( A Nufinland ) had fallen into the well and unable to get
her out and she weighted about 215 pounds, county then placed a call
for any Chief Officer to call the radio room. Deputy Chief 59 called
and was advised of the situation and advised the county to dispatch
the company. R59 was then dispatched at reduced speed and to meet Lt.
59 on scene. Upon arrival of R59, Lt. 59 advised them that the well
was inside of a old smoke house and the only way into it was from
inside as the outside well cover had been covered over with about four
feet of dirt years ago. After farther investigation it was determined
that part of the wall would have to be removed and someone lowered
down into the well. Lt. 59 volunteered to be lowered down. After about
a hours worth of work, the Nufinland was reunited with her owners and
whisked away to the Vets to be checked, were she was found to be ok
except for being wet and a few scratches. The company was AIQ at 14:15
